The color is a deep, deep garnet, almost (but not quite)
black. It has a big, powerful nose with plum, blackberry,
and lots of pencil shavings. The fruit is buried under
tannins and fairly strong acidity. The finish is more like a
sour aftertaste. This one's not to my taste, but there's
plenty of flavor here if you happen to like those flavors.
It improves a bit given a little time to breathe...maybe
it's just a bit too young yet.
