Maybe you enjoy a nice glass of wine. But the hassle! Opening the bottle (screw cap for ease, of course), preparing the glassware, all that strenuous pouring...it's exhausting. Well now, if you live in the UK, you can skip all of that and go straight to drinking your low-level wine! |
| Yes, Al Fresco Wines will be offering ready-filled plastic glasses of low-cost wine. The Tulipa foil-sealed glasses will launch in the UK this summer at £3.75 for two. Each glass is filled with red, white, or rose wine and sealed with foil to keep it fresh. You know that's gotta be good wine!
The glasses were originally designed for caterers at outdoor events who wanted to avoid the service time involved with wine bottles.
Al Fresco Wines, which spent £500,000 developing the Tulipa, said it offers "a greater range of drinking opportunities."
Or perhaps that should be, a greater range of "drinking" opportunities. With this innovation, it should only be a matter of time before you can get your wine from vending machines, handily located in the adults-only areas near the video-poker machines. | Source. | |
