WINE =======: 1994 Carbonnieux AOC : Bordeaux Tasting Date: 2004-04-25 Score : 88+ Country : France Region : Pessac-Leognan Notes ----- Robert Parker last tasted this wine in 1997 and gave it an appalling 79 saying the wine lacked complexity, fruit and flesh. Ten years after it was harvested, this wine is beginning to exhibit a lot more sophistication. The tannins have started to subside and a wonderful aroma of black currants, blackberries and smoky cedar emerge. The wine is still quite tannic but becoming more mature; still very full-bodied and lovely on the palate and its color shows little trace of its age. This may end up being even better in 5-10 years.
