WINE =======: 1994 Mastroberardino Radici AOC : Taurasi Tasting Date: 2004-05-21 Varietal : Aglianico Score : 92+ Country : Italy Region : Atripalda Notes ----- Beet red color with just a hint of age; impressive. Nose of Candied cherries, black pepper, toasted provincial herbs, ripe plums. Substantive tannins and impressive finish. This puppy needs to breathe - give it time. At ten years old, this wine is showing well but not giving any indication that it wouldn't be better in another ten years. This is a wine that proves Italy has some of the best QPR values anywhere. Production Notes ---------------- In the two thousand year history of the Aglianico grape, Taurasi, the wine of the Additional Notes ---------------- This wine appears to be heavily oaked. It's the Italian equivalent of a Ch. Ste. Michelle single-vinyard Cab wines with a LOT more flavor. Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
