WINE =======: 2000 Val D'Orbieu La Cuvee Mythique AOC : Vin de Pays Tasting Date: 2004-07-02 Varietal : Syrah, Moudourve, Grenache, Carignan Score : 89 Country : France State : Narbonne Notes ----- Ruby red with just slight pink traces at edge; medium to light-bodied; beautifully balanceds with nuances of black current, plums, herbs d'province and black pepper. Nice finish and plenty of tannins. Production Notes ---------------- 35% Syrah, 30% Moudourve, 20% Grenache, 15% Carignan. 1500 cases made; aged in new oak barriques for one year; unfiltered. Additional Notes ---------------- This is a wine that I have a personal fondness for, even though it may not be "world class", it's a lovely, not-well-known, low-production wine that is a great deal for the money.
