WINE =======: 2002 King Estate Vin Glace Tasting Date: 2004-07-12 Varietal : pinot gris Score : 88 Country : USA State : Oregon Notes ----- This wine is a bright, clear yellow, the color of citrine. It's thick, coating the side of the glass when swirled. It is sweet and fruity, with a taste like dried pineapple, but with a sharp acid flavor (like fresh pineapple...). It burns a little, like brandy. It's tasty, but I prefer something sweeter and less sharp in a dessert wine. Bonny Doon's faux ice wine is better in my book, but this one grows on you after a glass or two. Production Notes ---------------- This is a "faux" ice wine made from grapes frozen after harvest. (Real ice wine is made from grapes that freeze on the vine and are picked frozen.) Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
