WINE =======: 0 Campbells Rutherglen Tokay Tasting Date: 2004-08-05 Varietal : Tokay Score : 93 Country : Australia State : Victoria Region : Rutherglen Notes ----- This dessert wine comes in a half-bottle. It is a very gorgeous amber color. The scent is warm and fruity, like peach jam--it smells very much like the brandied peaches my parents sometimes received as a Christmas present. The flavor is sweet and rich with jammy fruit; apricot and peach, and, yes, prunes, stand out very much. It has a slightly thick mouth feel, just a bit more than regular wine, that matches its flavor nicely. This is not as sophisticated as a good Trockenbeerenauslese, but it is a very tasty dessert wine, and particularly nice if you enjoy its rich fruit. Additional Notes ---------------- This is a wine I discovered at the 2004 New Orleans Food & Wine Experience. Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
