WINE =======: 2000 Peter Lehmann Barossa Botrytis Semillon Tasting Date: 2004-08-19 Varietal : Semillon Score : 83 Country : Australia State : South Australia Region : Barossa Valley Notes ----- This is a nice little dessert wine...nothing special, but perfectly serviceable. The color is a lovely light amber (Swarovski topaz), and it has a pleasant scent, sweet, floral, and citrusy. The wine is sweet, but not extremely so. The sweetness is balanced by a citrusy flavor, but rather overpowered by strong acids. You can taste hints of honey, apricot, maybe mandarin orange, before they disappear under the blanket of acidity. The texture is slightly thicker than regular wine.
