Chateau/Producer: | Morande | Wine Name: | Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc | Country: | Chile | Region: | Casablanca Valley | Wine Score: | 92 | Notes: | This wine has a lovely clear, bright golden color and a lovely sweet scent like orange marmalade. It is slightly thicker than other wine, and is quite sweet. The sweetness is well balanced by acidity, with flavors of apricot, orange marmalade, and honey. Purchased in a half-bottle, this is a great value. I've had a number of more expensive dessert wines that were nowhere near as good as this one. It should keep well, too, if you are interested in letting it age for a while. | Tasting Date: | 2004-09-06 | Varietal: | Sauvignon Blanc | Price US$: | 9.69 | Source: | Dorignac's, Metairie |
