WINE =======: 2001 La Mission Tasting Date: 2004-09-25 Score : 94+ Country : France Region : Pessac-Leognan Notes ----- A full bodied wine with a deep ruby color. A nose of black fruit and minerals. Very dense on the palate with flavors of scorched earth, black and red fruits. Nice length to the finish. This wine was decanted for two hours prior to tasting. It is still extremely young and needs some additional cellar time. Day two: Wow! The wine had opened up tremendously! Tons of very sweet fruit, both on the nose and on the palate... The density remained, but seemed to be a little bit smoother. All in all an excellent wine. Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
