WINE =======: 1999 Inniskillin Icewine Vidal AOC : VQA Tasting Date: 2004-10-25 Varietal : Vidal Score : 96 Country : Canada State : Ontario Region : Niagara Peninsula Notes ----- This icewine is excellent, sweet yet balanced. The color is a beautiful light amber, tending toward golden yellow at the edges. Its aroma is distinct and present, with scents of honey, orange marmalade, and apricot. The wine has a medium-heavy body, and a great flavor. It's got a very thick, rich sweetness, with just enough acidity to keep it from being too much. It reminds me of a lightly orange- or tangerine-flavored syrup, but more fluid and less cloying. I enjoyed this more than some other icewines with sweetness, but less rich fruit flavors to complement that sweetness. Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
