WINE =======: 1999 Navarro Correas Coleccion Privada Malbec Tasting Date: 2005-02-26 Varietal : Malbec Score : 86 Country : Argentina State : Mendoza Region : Altos del Río Mendoza, Maipú, Mendoza Notes ----- The color is a pretty, clear garnet, a bit bricky towards the edges. The nose is of red fruits, rasberry, plum, cherry, with a bit of black pepper. The wine has noticeable tannins, but not overwhelming, with a good dose of acidity to balance it, and nice raspberry flavors. This is a pleasant, drinkable wine, good with food, but nothing outstanding. Production Notes ---------------- 12 months aging in small oak barrels (40%). Additional Notes ---------------- Each varietal part of this family depicts a label with paintings by different Argentinean artists who show there their view of wine as a work of art.
