WINE =======: 2001 Rabaud Promis Sauternes AOC : Sauternes Tasting Date: 2005-05-05 Varietal : Semillon Score : 88 Country : France State : Bordeaux Region : Sauternes Notes ----- This wine had a very light nose, a faint scent of honey. You can barely smell it, like some flowers. The color is a very light gold. It has a pleasant medium level of sweetness, and a light, non-syrupy body. Although I prefer a dessert wine to be very sweet, I quite enjoyed this one for not being super-sweet. This wine should cellar a long time, ten years or more. I'd like to see what this premiere cru wine from an excellent vintage tastes like after ten years of aging. Production Notes ---------------- 80% s Additional Notes ---------------- Price is for a full-sized bottle. Tasted with blue cheese drizzled with honey, which went very well with this wine.
