WINE =======: 2000 Cenay Blue Tooth Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon AOC : Napa Valley Tasting Date: 2005-08-04 Score : 92 Country : USA State : California Region : Oak Knoll Notes ----- Purple with light purple at the edges; nose of dusty, dry cherries and mineral-infused earth; very seriously structured and a total pleasure to drink. There's not a huge finish but this is an incredible tasting+nose wine. This is the poor man's Insignia (on a good Insignia year). Production Notes ---------------- Cenay's Blue Tooth Vineyard is located within Napa Valley's prestigious locality of Oak Knoll. The original vineyard was planted in Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1920s and boders the famous Stag's Leap District. Oak Knoll has a sandy gravel topsoil over-laying rock, excellent drainage, and once historically was the bed of the Napa River. The low yielding, concentrated fruit from this old gravel riverbed truly reflects the exceptional quality of Blue Tooth Vineyard and Oak Knoll.
