WINE =======: 2000 Eola Hills Vin D'Or Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc AOC : Oregon Tasting Date: 2005-09-30 Varietal : Sauvignon Blanc Score : 93 Country : USA State : Oregon Region : Oregon Notes ----- Its color is a lovely rich, light-amber golden. There's a rich nose of honey and dried pineapple, vanilla, and maybe a hint of orange. This is really a very tasty dessert wine--a good dollop of sweetness, but with a core of acidity that keeps it from being cloying. Flavors of honey and citrus, pineapple and orange, with a tang to match. Definitely one to buy again in my book. Production Notes ---------------- This is another one of those "faux icewines" made from frozen grapes. At least it doesn't sell itself as an icewine, just as a late harvest dessert wine. That's refreshing. Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
