Notes
-----
Deep red color with watermelon edges; nose of tar, minerals,
a hint of herbs and dustry cherry and ripe plum. This was
another overly tannic wine that seemed to be on its way out.
 This wine may merit more investigation but was otherwise
completely unremarkable among the surrounding vintages.

Production Notes
----------------
Low rainfall, droughty conditions, then heavy rain during
bloom reduced yield by 50%. Remaining year was routine with
good ripening and good fruit development. The fruit ripened
early and easily due to the light crop. Harvest: Sep 10-Oct
3; Bottled: Spring 1993 (9,500 cases); Released: Fall 1994

This was part of a ten-year (85,89,90,95,96,97,99,00,01,02) vertical
tasting at the California Grill, Contemporary Resort, Walt Disney World in
association with Chateau Montelena and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival,
2005.
