WINE =======: 2002 Eagle Castle Late Harvest Viognier Paso Robles AOC : Paso Robles Tasting Date: 2005-08-29 Varietal : Viognier Score : 87 Country : USA State : California Region : Paso Robles Notes ----- This is the wine I drank while waiting for Hurricane Katrina to finish pounding Baton Rouge. The color (as best I could tell by electric lantern) is a pretty pale yellow-gold. It has a nice medium-strength nose of dried pineapple, with a hint of banana. The flavor is good, sweet but not too sweet, with a nice level of citrusy acidity. It has medium body, and is a bit hot with alcohol. There are flavors of pineapple, lemon, orange, a hint of banana, and a dash of bitterness. Generally, this was a pretty good little dessert wine to sip on while waiting for the power to come back on. (It would be rather a long wait, as it turns out.) Output generated by La Wine Club - http://LaWineClub.com/ =================
