Notes

The color is a nice garnet red, turning bricky at the very
edge. It has a lovely nose of perfumey raspberry, and a nice
flavor, sort of muted, of raspberry and spice, with a hint
of pepper. This may have been exposed to heat after the
hurricane, which may have muted the flavor somewhat.

30% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Cinsault.
Coudoulet de Beaucastel is separated from the main
Beaucastel estate only by highway A7. Its terroir is similar
to that of Beaucastel, and, indeed, many consider it to be
as good as if not better than many Ch
