Chateau/Producer: | Lynch-Bages | Country: | France | Region: | Medoc | Wine Score: | 94 | Notes: | This is a giant and youthful wine. An extremely dark purple color with no lightening on the edges. The first sip was very tannic, after the wine opened up... Black fruits, leather, lead pencil, and oak were the prominent flavors. The tannins had reduced significantly. Well balanced with a long finish. | Tasting Date: | 2004-02-17 | Additional Notes: | I let the wine breath in the glass for four hours. After enjoying one glass, replaced the cork and returned aj few days later and it was perfect straight out of the bottle. |
