Chateau/Producer:Peter Lehmann
Wine Name:Barossa Botrytis Semillon
Country:Australia
State:South Australia
Region:Barossa Valley
Wine Score:83
Notes:This is a nice little dessert wine...nothing special, but perfectly serviceable. The color is a lovely light amber (Swarovski topaz), and it has a pleasant scent, sweet, floral, and citrusy. The wine is sweet, but not extremely so. The sweetness is balanced by a citrusy flavor, but rather overpowered by strong acids. You can taste hints of honey, apricot, maybe mandarin orange, before they disappear under the blanket of acidity. The texture is slightly thicker than regular wine.
Tasting Date:2004-08-19
Varietal:Semillon
Production Notes:Serve lightly chilled.
Price US$:15.99
