Chateau/Producer:Staatsweingut mit Johannitergut
Wine Name:Mussbacher Glockenzehnt Riesling Eiswien
Country:Germany
State:Rhineland-Pfalz
AOC:QmP
Region:Pfalz, Mussbach
Wine Score:96
Notes:This was a very tasty wine, ranking very high on my list of icewines. The cork crumbled very nastily, but the wine was sound. It was a lovely golden light-amber color. The nose was a rich scent of honey, apricot, and peaches. The wine was intensely sweet, with a nice tang of acid to counterbalance, and flavors of honey, peach, apricot, tangerine, and dried fruits. It had a nice, long, sweet-lemony finish. It had maybe a hint of sharpness, like the bitter part of a lemon peel. This was a great wine experience.

Additional Notes:This wine won a silver medal at the 2000 Landespraemierung.
