Chateau/Producer:Benedict-Loosen-Erben
Wine Name:Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese ***
Country:Germany
State:Mosel-Saar-Ruwer
AOC:Qualitaetswein mit Praedikat
Region:Ürzig (Mosel)
Wine Score:90
Notes:The color is a lovely straw, with just a hint of spring green. The nose is very light, but pleasantly sweet and citrusy. The flavor is very nice, lightly sweet and well-balanced by a nice level of acidity--not overbearing, but just right. The main fruit flavors are citrusy, but light; to me, it tastes of pineapple--more like canned pineapple than fresh, with the more subdued acidity. This wine has a rather long and pleasing finish. I can see why it was granted three stars! And the long aging seems to have done it nothing but good. A very nice wine for anyone who enjoys a white wine with a touch of sweetness that is not cloying or overdone.
