Chateau/Producer:Barwang
Wine Name:Riverina Gold Botrytis Semillon
Country:Australia
State:New South Wales
Region:Riverina
Wine Score:83
Notes:The color is a lovely golden caramel, sort of a light amber. The nose is quite light, at first with a strong scent of banana that mercifully vanished after a minute or so of breathing, to be replaced by a sweet orange scent with a touch of honey. The flavor has a sharp, alcoholic bite overlying the other flavors, toning down to mostly sweet orange and apricot flavors, with a bit of honey flavor. The finish lingers lightly for a while, with a taste that is oddly rich dark--I would say burnt sugar and raisins.

This is a pleasant little wine, especially for the price. It would be a good choice for someone who needs an "everyday drinker" dessert wine.
