Chateau/Producer:Eola Hills
Wine Name:Vin D'Or Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc
Country:USA
State:Oregon
AOC:Oregon
Region:Oregon
Wine Score:93
Notes:Its color is a lovely rich, light-amber golden. There's a rich nose of honey and dried pineapple, vanilla, and maybe a hint of orange. This is really a very tasty dessert wine--a good dollop of sweetness, but with a core of acidity that keeps it from being cloying. Flavors of honey and citrus, pineapple and orange, with a tang to match. Definitely one to buy again in my book.
Tasting Date:2005-09-30
Varietal:Sauvignon Blanc
Production Notes:This is another one of those "faux icewines" made from frozen grapes. At least it doesn't sell itself as an icewine, just as a late harvest dessert wine. That's refreshing.
Price US$:18.00
