Chateau/Producer:Hedges Cellar
Wine Name:CMS
Country:USA
State:Washington
AOC:Columbia Valley
Region:Columbia Valley
Wine Score:91
Notes:The color is a lovely garnet. It has an intense nose of plum, black cherry, and currants. The flavor is complex--lots of tannins, but they are reducing with a bit of a chance to breathe. Still a bit too tannic for my taste, but there is good acidity to balance it nicely. It became much nicer after an hour or so...very tasty and jammy.
Tasting Date:2006-02-27
Varietal:Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon, Syrah, Cab franc
Production Notes:47% Merlot, 47% Cabernet sauvignon, 3% Syrah, 2% Cab franc
