Notes
-----
Ruby-red to garnet color with little signs of age or edge
discoloration. Heavy glycerine bouquet that was likely due
to not decanting this wine enough (let it breathe for about
an hour - probably should have sent it to its room without
supper and had it later, but you know you can't tell a Lynch
to do anything other than what it wants to do, nor can you
deny it a spot at the big table once its opened). Bouquet
was somewhat "ghostly" in nature, not revealing much except
subtle hints of new leather and cedar with a blanket of
glycerine. Full-bodied but having an initial appearance of
being more medium-bodied, but it was a facade. Again Lynch
is the trickster. The wine appears to be more mundane at
first, then while you're not looking the finish creeps up on
you and kicks your ass. Substantive finish, very powerful. A
big sleeper that is exemplary of why Lynch is a special wine
among wine.
