Notes

Garnet/ruby in color with pink edges; nose of leather and
straw; explosive and tangy flavor of bright fruit. Medium to
light bodied. A very delicious, smooth wine (owing to its 10
years of age) but I fear the tannins can't keep up and while
this wine is quite enjoyable, it's not as well balanced as
other vintages of this faire might be.

Update: I tasted this wine again about two hours later and
it became even more dense and rich, and I updated my score
appropriately.  This is a wine that really benefits from
extensive decanting.
