Notes
-----
The wine's color is very nice, with a clear ruby at the
center, but fading to a more bricky red and quite pale at
the edges. The nose is light, but very rich, mainly fruity,
with black cherry, creme de cassis, and a hint of pencil
shavings. The wine itself is chock-full of tannins, very
smooth ones, but also quite powerful still. The fruit is
somewhat subdued by the tannins, but given a little time to
breathe, a strong cherry flavor comes through. Overall this
wine is quite good, but not a stunner. It's hard to say
whether it needs a bit more age, or if it is getting past
its prime.
