| An entrepreneur in China is getting set up to make wine from fish. |
This appears to be different from the Chinese traditional medical use of items such as "snake wine," "mouse wine," and so forth, in that these items are usually made by soaking the animals in question in wine. The fish wine, conversely, will actually be fermented out of fish. The scariest part of the story is that the budding winemaker is already getting orders lined up from Japan, Russia, and China.
Look for the new fish wine on a wine list near you. I suppose it will be listed under "White." |
