 Rites of Swing will perform in the Jazz’n the Vines concert series at Pontchartrain Vineyards on Saturday, August 26th , 6:30-9:00 p.m.
The string band is composed of accomplished musicians who have an easy rapport with the audience. They play pop, jazz, Hawaiian, and hillbilly music from the 1920's-1940's, careening from hot Hawaiian tunes to early Bing Crosby to mid-period Cab Calloway to late Jimmy Rodgers. |

Members are Yvette M. Voelker, vocals; John Rakin, guitar and vocals; Gilbert Buras, guitar and vocals; Rick Perles, violin and vocals; Dave Rebek, mandolin; Shael Herman, clarinet; and Tim Paco, upright bass.
Pack a blanket, food, a few candles, umbrella, flashlight, and a desire to be transformed at one of Louisiana's hidden gems, Pontchartrain Vineyards.
The community is invited. Plan to come enjoy music in a magnificent vineyard setting. There will be a $ 10.00/person entrance fee. (No pets, outside wines, beer, or liquor, please.) Pontchartrain Vineyards wine and food will be available for purchase. |
