Swirlin’ Dervish, The Many Flavors of Sangiovese
August 7th, 6:30 to 8pm
Depending on where it’s grown, Sangiovese takes on many names and unique flavor profiles including Morellino, Chianti, Rosso di Montipulciano, Rosso di Montalcino, prunoto gentile and more. Join us as we taste through 6 of our favorites including a beautiful rosé from Tuscany! Tastings are limited to 40 people. Please call to reserve a spot.

Food, Fun and Friends Wine Dinner Series
Wednesday August 8, 7 to 9pm
Join us for Swirl's first wine dinner series as we bring together some of our favorite wine, food and friends at Del Forno in the Marigny. Our friend and favorite Italian wine purveyor, Antonio Molesini, will guide us through wines from his native Italy paired with Fatma Ayd's special Italian menu selections. In keeping in the spirit of value priced fun, this five course dinner and wines is $65 per person and is limited to 20 people. Prepayment is required to reserve your spot.

Winemakers make many choices that determine how a wine is going to taste; when the grapes are to be picked, oak or no oak, French or American oak, how much malo, what type of yeast, how much cellaring time, are just a few. Bridget Joesph, our newest Swirl Girl, will lead this tasting of 8 wines on choices the winemaker makes and how they effect the wine in your glass. Tastings are limited to 40 people.
